NEW RESOURCE and it's an amazing one! TheRecoveryVillage.com is a free web resource that provides information about addiction, eating disorders and mental health. The Recovery Village also delivers comprehensive treatment services.

Medically-reviewed articles and studies: quality articles and news to help navigate addition and recovery process. Understand the signs of addiction or mental health concerns. To help find the best course of action and treatment plan.

Innovative research: recent trends and discovery of new statistics about substance abuse, mental health, addiction treatment and recovery outcomes analyzed by The Recovery Village. See their surveys here.

On-demand clinical webinars: webinars created by The Recovery Village, addiction specialists and mental health counselors. The webinars cover a variety of topics from topical events, like surviving Covid, to ones about different, evidence-based treatment modalities.

Live, accredited events (now online): educational opportunities to help medical professionals stay up to date with the latest advancements and earn CDEs.

Clinical videos about addiction, mental health and recovery: several videos created to help those living with addiction and/or mental health conditions. These are geared towards others understanding what they are experiencing, treatment options and tips for recovery.

Covid resources and more: helping those specifically looking for help or information regarding Covid or other specific groups. Other groups include, people in specific regions, veterans, LQBTQ+, teen addiction and more.

The Recovery Village Mental Health Awareness Month theme focuses on raising awareness about the many resources available for improving mental health.

According to the National Alliance on Mental Illness, approximately 1 in 5 adults in the U.S. are affected by mental health conditions. Mental Health Awareness Month helps raise awareness about the prevalence of mental health conditions, reduce stigma and encourage people to find and seek treatment sooner.

What is mental illness? A mental health disorder, sometimes referred to as a mental illness, is a condition that can affect a person’s thoughts, moods, behavior and emotions. What is Mental Health Awareness Month? Mental Health Awareness Month is held every May and was created by Mental Health America in 1949 to help spread the message that everyone — even those who don’t struggle personally — should care about mental health.

The annual campaign serves to create solidarity and reduce stigma toward mental health conditions, which allows people to take advantage of life-saving resources without fear of judgment. Simply starting a conversation can save a life, and Mental Health Awareness Month seeks to make that conversation happen.
